Keep project measurements readable

Draw a simple sketch and label each measurement with its unit. Use a consistent reference point and write dimensions next to the part they describe. Mark anything estimated so it cannot be mistaken for a checked measurement.

Recheck important dimensions before cutting or making an irreversible change. Compare the sketch with the actual project and the instructions you are following. Work within your skills and seek help when needed.

Keep the final sketch and note changes made during the project. The record should show what was actually built, not just the first idea.
